The London School Alliance is proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected specialist all-through Autism school in Stratford, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September on a Full time, Long term, Term time only basis.

What you will be doing
- Supporting autistic students across a range of learning activities throughout the school day
- Assisting students with communication, emotional regulation and social interaction
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and senior staff to implement personalised learning plans

Providing 1
1 and small group support tailored to individual student needs
- Supporting students who are non-verbal or pre-verbal using communication strategies such as PECS and visual supports
- Encouraging student independence, confidence and engagement in learning
- Assisting with sensory-based learning and therapeutic interventions
- Helping to create a calm, structured and positive classroom environment
- Supporting students during break times, transitions and enrichment activities
- Recording observations and contributing to student progress discussions with the wider team
What we are looking for

- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable but not essential
