Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a school in Mitcham to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant for a full-time role within a Primary or Early Years setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong SEN/SEND and SEMH experience who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About the Role

  • Supporting pupils within a Primary or Early Years SEN setting
  • Assisting children with a range of needs including SEN, SEND, and SEMH

Providing 1

1 and small group support inside and outside the classroom

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated activities
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
  • Assisting with the implementation of EHCP targets and support strategies
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals
  • Full-time role with immediate or September start available

Essential Requirements - Please Read Carefully

✔️ Experience working with SEN/SEND or SEMH pupils

✔️ Experience within a Primary, Early Years, or SEN setting

✔️ Strong understanding of supporting children with additional needs

✔️ Excellent communication and behaviour management skills

✔️ Patient, caring, and adaptable approach

✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
