Experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our Amada 5-axis press brake, producing precision sheet metal components from raw material through to final inspection. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality fabrication of metal parts used in a variety of applications.

Responsibilities

Set up and calibrate press brake machine according to job specifications, ensuring accurate bends and formations to fine tolerances.

Operate press brakes safely and efficiently to produce high-quality sheet metal parts

Load and unload sheet materials, checking correct grades and thicknesses.

Adjust tooling and die configurations based on project requirements, utilizing hand tools and basic math skills

Inspect finished parts for quality, dimensions, and adherence to specifications, using measuring equipment including verniers, protractors and engineers’ squares.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to minimize downtime

Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders to determine proper setup procedures

Complete quality control checks and documentation throughout the manufacturing process.

Assist with fabrication processes such as grinding, welding, and assembly when necessary to support production goals

Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
