About this role
A school based in Islington is now seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their high achieving team. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide support in small groups and 1:1 both in and out of the mainstream classroom. Some of the children have SEN and you’ll ensure they’re able to achieve to their full potential.
The successful Teaching Assistant will need to be proactive and patient, as well as being able to easily adapt to changes in the classroom. Good communication skills are essential for this role, as well as good ability to build rapport with pupils, parents and colleagues. A key part of the curriculum is literacy and numeracy, so having maths and English GCSEs would be beneficial as a Teaching Assistant.
