Salaried General Practitioner

Job Title Salaried General Practitioner Job Purpose To provide high quality patient centred primary medical services to the registered population of Lakeside Medical Practice and work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering safe effective and evidence based care Main Duties Undertake face to face telephone and online consultations Participate in the total triage system and review patient requests Assess diagnose and manage acute and long term medical conditions Prescribe medications safely and appropriately Develop and manage treatment plans Refer patients to secondary care and community services when required Undertake home visits when clinically appropriate Provide health promotion and preventative healthcare advice Maintain accurate clinical records using EMIS Web Work collaboratively with doctors nurses pharmacists paramedics healthcare assistants and administrative teams Participate in clinical governance quality improvement and audit activities Attend practice meetings training sessions appraisal and revalidation activities Support safeguarding responsibilities relating to children and vulnerable adults Comply with information governance confidentiality equality diversity and health and safety requirements General The post holder may be required to undertake other duties appropriate to the role as reasonably requested by the Partners or Practice Management Team
