About this role

Clinical Responsibilities

to include level of responsibility for: Lead and supervise the day to day implementation of safeguarding plans of care and evaluation of their effectiveness. Work in partnership with professionals, the adult and their families/ carers in order to support and encourage involvement in their safeguarding plan. Supervise and lead in challenging practice, and maintaining standards in relation to safeguarding ensuring guidelines and policies are adhered to within the inpatient setting Responsible for the identification of safeguarding concerns for patients and escalate as appropriate. Work without direct supervision and be responsible for the management of his/her workload within the hospital setting Attend and represent the Trust at appropriate internal and external meetings in relation to safeguarding. Be aware of the spiritual, psychological and emotional needs of the adult and endeavour to meet these at all times within the context of safeguarding them Act as a source of specialised knowledge and clinical expertise in relation to safeguarding. Support Trust staff on a day to day basis in the process of assessing risk in relation to safeguarding and the process of making a referral to the Local Authority if required.
