Clinical
To undertake assessment of patients including those with complex presentations To use investigative and analytical skills to assess complex patients and support other team members as required To evaluate patient progress, reassess and alter treatment as required To keep up to date with developments, current research and implement change to clinical practice
Leadership/ Managerial
To participate in appraisals as appraisee and appraiser To deliver training to the team and other health care professionals To support with supervising and completing regular supervision with therapy assistants and students To participate in clinical audits and evaluate clinical effectiveness in line with trust policies
Service improvements
To be involved in service development changes To make recommendations when appropriate to changes in practice leading to improvement in the service
Communication
To be able to communicate highly complex information sensitively to patients to gain their cooperation for treatment and valid consent To communicate effectively with all disciplines involved in a patient's care, both those from within the organisation and those outside to ensure effective MDT working To use verbal and non verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients to progress treatment programmes To maintains records in line with professional body, Trust and service standards and policies To attend staff meeting and actively participate as required To ensure effective communication with Team Leads and Clinical Leads on all professional matters
