We are currently recruiting for an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join a dedicated substance misuse and recovery service based in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional who is committed to supporting individuals through their recovery journey and promoting long-term independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting service users from initial engagement through to recovery and exit planning
  • Carrying out screenings, assessments, risk assessments, and recovery planning
  • Delivering person-centred interventions focused on recovery and harm reduction
  • Managing a caseload of clients with complex needs including substance misuse, mental health, housing, and social issues
  • Providing advocacy and referrals to external partnership agencies and support services
  • Promoting social inclusion, resilience, peer support, and independent living
  • Maintaining accurate case notes and ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures
  • Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for service users

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within substance misuse, recovery, homelessness, or mental health services
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and recovery-focused approaches
  • Excellent communication, engagement, and case management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with vulnerable adults and challenging behaviours
  • Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one
