And as the largest trade union of nursing staff and students in the UK – with over half a million members – all we can see are the infinite possibilities for a brighter future. Join us and you will too.
The role
As a Finance Business Partner you’ll use your positive attitude, initiative, your knowledge of management accounting and your ability to communicate effectively with senior management to deliver an outstanding customer service to your stakeholders.
It's a job full of possibilities as you could get involved in anything from the preparation of reports or analysis for senior management, to delivering training & support for stakeholders. You will support the Senior Finance Business Partner in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, develop & maintain financial processes, undertake analysis of income and expenditure, and produce ad hoc reports from our accounting system as and when required. It's a great way to build on your knowledge of our work and develop your potential.

To join us you’ll need strong management accounting skills (supported by a relevant accounting qualification or in the final stages of achieving one) and experience in completing a full year-end and audit cycle, as well as a demonstrable track record of building strong working relationships with stakeholders.
You will need to have a high level of expertise with spreadsheet applications and be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels within the organisation. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines consistently with a proactive approach.
Whatever your background, you'll be efficient, accurate and show a real customer focus and initiative in all you do.
To succeed at the Royal College of Nursing all you need to do is think bigger, better and brighter. And with an attitude like that, anything’s possible.

We are a diverse organisation and understand everyone has different needs and many of our employees enjoy flexible working enabling them to deliver results whilst having a good work life balance. Our hybrid working model allows for up to 60% of your working time to be carried out from home. At least 40% of your working time will be spent working in person.
