Could you be our next Senior Library Assistant at Bonnybridge library

In this role you will supervise a team responsible for the delivery of a high quality, customer- focussed frontline library service.

What we are looking for…

You will be a flexible and well organised individual. They will be able to work on their own initiative and have experience of customer care and managing a small team. You will enjoy a strong focus on supporting people of all ages and backgrounds with digital skills and inclusion, promoting reading for pleasure, and responding to requests for information. This role may require evening work until 8pm on a Thursday, includes supervising and managing Slamannan library and requires the successful candidate to be mobile in the Falkirk area.

Key skills and attributes will include.

Excellent numeracy and literacy · Analytical skills · Problem solving skills · People management skills · Attention to detail · Experience working as part of a team. · Ability to organise competing demands. · Experience using MS office packages. · Experience in direct cash handling. · Experience working in a front-line customer service environment. · Previous supervisory experience.

You will work 37 hours per week, Monday 9am - 5pm, Tuesday 9am -5pm, Alternate Wednesday 9am - 4pm, Thursday 9am - 6pm , Friday 9am -5pm, Alternate Saturday 9am - 3pm.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
