Trust Doctor (eqv. to ST1/2 level) in General Medicine

The Department of General Medicine at Whipps Cross Hospital aims to offer a comprehensive range of services to the local population of Waltham Forest, Western Redbridge and the neighbouring part of South West Essex. The department regularly sees a rich mixture of pathology and complex psycho-social issues. The local population contains a significant level of Older patients with frailty and high rates of dementia and associated delirium. The inpatient service comprises of two general medicine wards, Birch & Blackthorn. Each ward has 2 ST1-2 level junior doctors with an ST3+ higher trainee staffing it daily in line with the RCP Safe Medical Staffing Guidelines. The successful applicant will be able to develop individualised educational goals including a focus within the specialty of your choice.This postpresents excellent opportunities to develop clinical skills and has a high level of consultant supervision.
