Full Time, Live Out, Housekeeper, Seer Green, Buckinghamshire - 881090

Starting as soon as possible, this warm and welcoming family is looking for a child and pet-friendly daily housekeeper. You will be helping a family of four (two boys aged 12 & 14) and their lovely Beagle dog, to keep their lives running smoothly. They live in a beautiful 6-bedroom modern and contemporary home in Seer Green, Buckinghamshire.

They are seeking a housekeeper to manage the household duties, but also become part of the home and family, someone warm, proactive, and looking for a long-term position.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day, with the flexibility to work either 8-4 or 9-5. Any additional ad hoc hours would be mutually agreed upon and paid as overtime.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the home, including daily housekeeping, deep cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising bathrooms and kitchens.
• Manage all household laundry and ironing, ensuring clothing and linens are consistently clean, pressed, organised, and presented to a high standard. Bed linen is professionally laundered and ironed by a dry-cleaning service.
• Develop and implement effective household systems to improve organisation, efficiency, and the smooth running of the home.
• Organise and maintain cupboards, wardrobes, and storage areas, including regularly rotating and organising the children’s clothing as they grow and their needs change.
• Assist with entertaining and hosting when required, including preparation, serving, clearing away, and ensuring the home is returned to its usual high standard afterwards.
• Receive and manage household deliveries, and liaise with contractors, tradespeople, and other service providers as required.
• Oversee grocery shopping and run errands when required
• Maintain an accurate inventory of household cleaning products and supplies, ensuring essential items are kept well stocked and replenished as necessary.
• Undertake additional household duties and ad hoc tasks as required, contributing to the efficient and seamless running of the home.

The ideal candidate will have

• Minimum of three years of experience working in a high-end private household.
• Proven ability to manage multiple housekeeping tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
• Hardworking, proactive, and well-organised with a positive “can-do” attitude.
• Trustworthy, discreet, and reliable, with excellent references.
• Strong communication skills, particularly with children and other household members.
• Full clean driving licence, with their own car – duty mileage will be reimbursed.
