About this role

We are looking for a nursing associate, preferably who has completed the GPN course, and worked in general practice. The hours and days are flexible / subject to negotiation. You will maintain a high professional standard of nursing care in adherence to all Practice policies, protocols and guidelines. It is essential that the Nursing Associate works within their own level of competency and expand their role in accordance with practice requires and own scope of practice.

Job responsibilities will include

Providing wound care and dressings Perform and record clinical observations such as BP, temperature, respiration rate, pulse including appropriate coding Provide a range of injections (B12, depo etc) and vaccinations (flu, covid, RSV etc), venepuncture and other relevant clinical tasks as required and in line with the competencies of the role Promote health and wellbeing to all patients, for example undertaking the NHS health check Support long term care planning for our patients with chronic diseases e.g. care and support planning, serious mental illness reviews etc If competent we would also ask you to perform smear tests and baby immunisations.
