In our busy café, the kitchen is where the action happens. It’s fast and focused. As part of this team, you’ll be right at the heart of it: preparing great food, keeping on top of orders, sticking to the menu, and making sure every plate that leaves the pass is something our customers will love.

Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of Our Cafe, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures:
- Prepare, cook and serve food to our café’s exact specifications, ensuring every dish looks and tastes as intended.
- Know the menu inside and out, delivering consistent quality and keeping all food products available throughout the day.
- Stay fully aware of orders and work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen, keeping service smooth and timely.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations, completing daily due‑diligence records accurately and on time.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, keeping equipment, utensils and work areas spotless and safe.
- Accept deliveries and store food safely, using FIFO stock rotation to keep everything fresh and compliant.
- Follow all operational policies and procedures, ensuring the kitchen stays safe, legal and well‑run.
- Serve customers quickly, efficiently and with genuine care, supporting great service across the café.
- Resolve customer complaints professionally, passing key information to the Café Manager when needed.
- Stay up to date with business communications, new initiatives and any changes to processes or standards.
- A commitment to excellent customer service.
- Experience of working in a kitchen environment would be ideal
- Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
- The ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.
