Applications are invited for the post of Research Services Officer in the Research and Innovation Department at Royal Holloway, University of London.
We are looking for an exceptional administrator who will play a key role in delivering effective day-to-day operational support and advice related to the costing and submission of research proposals, and the offer acceptance of new awards. The post serves the purpose of sustaining administrative support to academic staff who apply for research funding and administering information about research grant applications.
The post will require previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a research or higher education environment, an aptitude for financial management, and excellent attention to detail. Candidates should have excellent organisational and numerical skills and the ability to work both independently as well as part of a team. Candidates will have experience of successfully using Microsoft excel to a proficient level and have a willingness to learn other systems. The post holder will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop professional relationships and networks at all levels within the organisation.
