at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare. Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.
Our Enablement and Urgent Care services are responsive and flexible with the aim of supporting people to develop andmaintain their independence within their home environment. Our aim is to prevent unnecessary hospital admission and facilitate early discharge from the acute hospitals.
The Home First Team provides short-term support and a period of assessment to enable people to be as independent aspossible in their home environment so they can return home following a hospital admission. The service is a KCHFT and KCC Adult Social Care Partnership.
- Keeping the people who use our services as safe as possible through the use of sound judgement and effective risk assessments, escalating concerns to the relevant professional in a timely manner.
- Support and advise people and their close support network on how best to manage their condition in the context ofliving in their home, with a non-judgmental approach, whilst maintaining privacy, dignity and respect to ensure the highest standards at all times.
- Support, develop and help to maintain a person’s confidence and independent living skills in order for them to optimisetheir abilities and regain the optimum levels of independence.
If you need Skilled Worker visa sponsorship to be able to join us and you are successful in your application, we will reimburse the cost of using the UKVI Priority Visa Service (currently £500), so you are able to join Team KCHFT as quickly as possible.
This financial support is conditional on you successfully completing all stages of the recruitment process, including interview, receipt of a formal offer, and satisfactory pre-employment checks. You need to be willing to pay the priority service fee upfront and, subject to you meeting all other pre-employment requirements and beginning employment with us, you will be able to reclaim this cost through our expenses process.
Please be aware this financial support only applies to the priority service fee. The cost of the skilled worker visa itself will not be reimbursed.
