We are seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a large, two-floor office site, with an actual occupancy of around 50 people.
The role sits within a site that is transitioning into our management as part of a broader mobilisation programme, requiring a structured and proactive approach to facilities operations.
Job Description
This position plays a key role during a mobilisation period of approximately six months, with engineering services outsourced and no on-site engineer.
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for coordinating external service providers, supporting asset verification activity, and ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operation of office facilities, including maintenance, security, and cleaning services
Coordinate and manage service providers and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery
Oversee office supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and operational functionality
Implement and maintain health and safety policies, including inspections and risk assessments
Manage facilities budgets and control facilities-related costs
Respond promptly to facilities-related issues and employee requests
Maintain accurate records for maintenance, service contracts, and compliance documentation
Lead sustainability initiatives and support energy-saving activities on site
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Previous experience in facilities management or a related field
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facilities management systems
Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practice
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
