About this role
On behalf of a highly regarded primary academy in Newham, we are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and resilient Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to make a meaningful, long-term impact on the daily lives and development of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
In this role, you will work across various year groups within both mainstream classrooms and specialist provisions. You will be supporting children with a wide range of complex needs, proactively identifying barriers to learning, and maintaining a calm, nurturing environment throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to primary-aged children with complex learning needs, specifically Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Work closely with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), implementing specific strategies and interventions to help pupils achieve their individual targets.

Build trusting, consistent, and reassuring relationships with vulnerable learners who rely heavily on routine.

Manage and support diverse communication, sensory, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

Collaborate professionally with class teachers, internal SEND staff, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to high-quality support.

Substantial experience supporting children with SEN within a UK primary school setting.
