As an On Street Operative in our Micromobility – Citizen Services team, you’ll help keep London’s cycle hire scheme running safely and efficiently. From carrying out routine bicycle and e-Bike maintenance to ensuring bikes are available where customers need them most, your work will have a direct impact on the experience of thousands of people every day.

What you’ll do as an On Street Operative
- Carry out routine on-street maintenance, functional checks and basic repairs on bicycles and e-Bikes across the cycle hire scheme.
- Replace and transport e-Bike batteries to maintain bicycle availability and meet customer demand.
- Operate an e-Cargo Bike or e-Van to support battery distribution and operational activities.
- Lock in and release bicycles at docking stations, ensuring roadworthy bikes remain available for customers.
- Complete accurate electronic logging of work, parts usage and battery movements using mobile devices.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to questions from customers, clients and members of the public.
- Follow all health and safety, security, environmental and operational procedures while reporting any faults, risks or incidents.
· To be successful in this role you will complete and pass a 3-day e-Cargo course as part of your onboarding

- You have excellent customer service and communication skills and enjoy helping people.
- You’re confident riding a bicycle in a busy urban environment and can pass an e-Cargo Bike assessment.
- You’re comfortable using mobile devices and digital systems to record work accurately.
- You have strong problem-solving skills and can work independently while contributing to team targets.
- You understand the importance of health and safety and take pride in delivering high-quality work.
