First Call Education is recruiting a reliable Temporary Caretaker to join a school in Leatherhead, Surrey, for approximately 7 weeks, with a real possibility of a longer-term opportunity for the right person.This is a great fit for a practical, dependable individual who takes pride in keeping a school site safe, clean and welcoming — someone happy to work independently and take ownership of the site.Key responsibilitiesUnlocking and opening the school building each morning; securing and locking up at the end of the day.Receiving and moving deliveries around the school site.Replenishing toilet and hygiene consumables, including hand wash and toilet rolls.Keeping the school grounds tidy and well maintained.Carrying out general caretaking and site duties as required.Completing additional tasks allocated by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).Helping ensure the school site remains safe, secure and presentable.About youReliable, punctual and trustworthy.Practical and confident carrying out general maintenance and site duties.Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for the school site.Able to communicate effectively with school staff.Flexible and willing to assist with a variety of tasks.Ideally experienced in a caretaking, facilities, maintenance or school site role — though relevant practical experience will also be considered.Why applyA well-paid, hands-on role with a clear path to a longer-term position, working with a supportive school team in Leatherhead.
