Patient Care The post-holder will
Provide high-quality, patient-centred general medical services Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic health conditions Undertake appropriate clinical examinations and arrange investigations where required Develop appropriate treatment and management plans Prescribe safely and appropriately in accordance with local and national guidance Provide appropriate follow-up and continuity of care Support health promotion, disease prevention and screening
Clinical Administration The post-holder will
Review and act upon pathology and other investigation results Review clinical correspondence and hospital communications Complete referrals and associated documentation Manage repeat prescription requests and medication queries as appropriate Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS Web Complete clinical administration associated with their consultations in a timely manner
Team Working The post-holder will
Work collaboratively with GP colleagues, the nursing team, PCN clinicians and the wider practice team Communicate effectively with patients, carers and colleagues Participate in relevant clinical and practice meetings Contribute fairly to the clinical workload of the practice Support a positive and collaborative working environment Quality and
Governance The post-holder will
Work in accordance with practice policies, procedures and clinical guidelines Maintain awareness of and work within relevant GMC and professional standards Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement where appropriate Contribute to the achievement of QOF and other contractual requirements Maintain appropriate mandatory training and continuing professional development Participate in annual appraisal and revalidation requirements Confidentiality The post-holder will have access to confidential information relating to patients, carers, staff and the practice as an organisation. All information must be treated as confidential and managed in accordance with practice policies, UK GDPR, data protection legislation and professional requirements.
