Accounts AssistantHead Office, Eastbourne37.5 hours, 5 days a weekHybrid working availableCompetitive salary plus company pension and benefits packageWe have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team based at our Head Office, Albany House in central Eastbourne, Supporting the Group’s financial operations through daily transactional processing, administrative tasks, and handling finance-related queries.This role sits within our busy and evolving Finance Team situated at our Head Office which supports a network of over 240 branches nationwide as well as our ecommerce businesses which has seen significant growth in recent years. Roles and responsibilities will include
Involvement in daily financial operations, including transactional processing and maintaining accurate records for invoices, expenses, payments and transactions.Monitoring daily communications and effectively handling finance queries, liaising with branches, departments and third parties.Preparing and processing journals (including month-end journals, cost allocations).Verification of expense claims submitted through the company expenses system.Administration of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) process, including identification of CIS-related transactions and the completion of monthly CIS returns to HMRC.Verification of voucher requests submitted, arranging orders and other related administrative tasks.Ownership of the petty cash process across the business including generating cheques and recording accounting transactions.Recording, maintaining and documenting rent transactions and producing monthly reporting on property rental income for the business
Who we are looking for
