About this role

  • This role is approximately 60% clinically focused, involving the delivery of physiotherapy interventions to children on a designated caseload, including implementing and progressing agreed treatment and exercise programmes such as individual and group sessions, motor coordination groups and hydrotherapy, under the guidance of a qualified therapist
  • Clinical responsibilities also include monitoring and reviewing physiotherapy goals, maintaining accurate electronic patient records, and regularly reporting outcomes to therapists, while working collaboratively with physiotherapists, the wider multidisciplinary team, education staff and families to support children with physical, learning and complex health needs
  • The remaining40% of the role is administrative and service‑support focused, including monitoring and managing the physiotherapy telephone line, responding to emails and enquiries, supporting appointment coordination, and contributing to the efficient organisation and delivery of specialist clinics and groups
  • Administrative duties also include ordering and maintaining equipment, ensuring clinical environments are safely prepared in line with risk assessments and manual handling requirements, and contributing to service development
  • Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills are essential to ensure effective service delivery and to support clear, sensitive communication with children and their carers.
  • The main duties of this role are to support the Paediatric Physiotherapy Team by providing effective administrative and clinical assistance to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of therapy clinics and the delivery of high‑quality care to children and families in the Richmond Borough
  • Working under supervision and using own initiative, the post holder will provide hands‑on treatment to children as directed by a Paediatric Physiotherapist, accurately record interventions and patient responses in line with local guidelines, and collaborate within the multidisciplinary team, including with Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy colleagues
  • The role involves working independently across a range of settings, including clinics, schools, homes, gyms and hydrotherapy pools.

Deliver group and individual interventions to children with complex needs.

Support physiotherapists and MDT team with delivery of therapy in the community setting including in clinics, schools, homes etc.
