Job Overview
Mitie has a great opportunity for an Operations Security Manager to join the Scottish Branch team, specific to a large corporate customer contract.
The Operations Security Manager will be responsible for supporting Security services across a specific contract within the Scottish region. Initially, Edinburgh, Glasgow and East Kilbride locations. Company vehicle, laptop and phone will be provided for role.
Main Duties
-Implement opportunities locally to maxise service efficiency and drive continuous improvement
-Conduct monthly pre-audits KPI meetings as required and escalate any failings
-Conduct regular reviews of all sites and ensure that all issues identified are reported and resolved
-Communicate effectively and proactively with the security team and the client
-Ensure smooth running of the contract security operation at all times leading by example to deliver to the high standards mitie expect
-Manage all aspects of site based Mitie security staff for example (list is not exhaustive)
-management of holidays
-manage unplanned absence
-development programmes for all members of site teams, working with shift supervisors
-appraisals and performance management
-staff training routine and management of training records
-management of the incident reporting processes
-local management of additional works requests and proactive / timely coms with customer soft and hard FM suppliers
-Ensure all core and support officers have read and signed the up to date Assignment Instructions
-Ensure the security risk assessments have been signed off and regularly reviewed.
-Lead on recruitment and retention requirements for prescribed area
What we are looking for
-Must be able to achieve SC Clearance - Minimum standard
-Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar role
-Capable of being flexible with working hours due to 24 hour working model of sites
-Ability to inspire and lead teams to deliver the highest service standards at all times
-Must have exceptional understanding of security services within corporate environment
-Excellent organisational and time management skills
-Confident and professional working approach and appearance with ability to work individually and as paret of a team
-Strong customer service, client focused attitude with the ability to build good working relationships
-Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, Literate, numerate and IT skills to medium level user
-Resilient and tenacious with a ‘can do' approach
-Frontline Door Supervision or Security Guarding License essential, CCTV Licence would be beneficial
-A Full UK Driving licence is required
