About the role and school

We are seeking a SEMH Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Waltham Forest from September. This SEMH Teacher role is ideal for a passionate and resilient practitioner with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

The school caters for pupils with a range of additional needs including SEMH, Autism and associated communication difficulties. Staff work collaboratively within a highly supportive environment focused on behaviour support, emotional regulation and personalised learning.

This SEMH Teacher role would suit someone committed to inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners to achieve positive outcomes both academically and socially.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and differentiated learning as a SEMH Teacher

Support pupils with SEMH and additional needs

Implement behaviour regulation and intervention strategies

Plan and assess learning effectively

Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff and parents

Create a safe and structured learning environment

Qualifications/Experience

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

· Experience supporting SEMH or SEN pupils desirable

· Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills

· Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service

· Right to work in the UK
