Home Therapies Specialist Nurse

The role of Renal Nurse Specialist involves independent working between Arrowe Park, Clatterbridge Hospital, Countess of Chester Hospital and patients homes and therefore requires a broad spectrum of clinical and communication skills, including the use of multiple information technology systems and trust policies and procedures. The role encompasses the clinical management of a range of patient cohorts including pre dialysis, peritoneal dialysis, in centre (self-care), home haemodialysis and renal vasculitis patients requiring intravenous chemotherapy. Each cohort is led and managed within the individual scope and competencies of the Renal Specialist Nurse. In collaboration with Home Therapies Manager and within clinical competence, there will be overlap between each cohort, ensuring effective provision of all aspects of clinical care.
