Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across the relevant curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver lessons, learning activities and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Deliver

GCSE Maths, Functional Skills Maths and other relevant Maths programmes.

  • Support students with their academic development and progression.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Use engaging teaching methods to develop students' mathematical knowledge and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team.
  • Support students in developing the skills required for further study and employment.

About You

We're looking for someone who has

  • Experience teaching

Maths within an FE or Sixth Form setting.

  • Strong subject knowledge across Maths and related areas.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.

  • A degree in

Mathematics, Maths Education or a relevant subject.

  • Experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve strong academic and career outcomes.
