Occupational Therapist

About this role

What you will be doing In liaison with the Therapy Lead, the role is responsible for delivering Occupational Therapy services to all residents and clients, while supporting the delivery of Occupational Therapy service in line with Codes of Practice. This includes ongoing monitoring, support, and assessment of residents physical and psychological needs, as well as maintaining concise records and producing reports for each residents case review. The role also involves undertaking assessments of daily living skills to determine functional ability, identify risks, and establish appropriate levels of support. Additionally, it requires liaising with external organisations for equipment provision, such as wheelchair services, and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all Occupational Therapy equipment. A key aspect of the role is promoting residents personal and social skills and encouraging participation in leisure activities, while maintaining regular, empathetic communication with relatives and carers by providing information, support, and advice as needed.
