We're delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a solar energy company for an Interim HR Advisor to join their friendly and supportive HR team on a 6-month maternity cover contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist who enjoys being hands-on, building strong relationships and making a genuine difference to the employee experience.

About the Role

Working as part of a close-knit HR team of four, you'll play an important role in providing a responsive and people-focused HR service across the business.

This is a varied generalist position where no two days are quite the same. You'll be trusted to hit the ground running, manage day-to-day HR matters confidently and contribute ideas that help drive positive change across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to employees and managers
  • Managing employee relations matters, including sensitive and challenging situations
  • Supporting onboarding and new starter processes
  • Managing and advising on employee benefits
  • Building positive relationships across the business
  • Handling difficult conversations with confidence, empathy and professionalism
  • Contributing to wider HR initiatives and strategy
  • Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and the employee experience
  • Supporting the HR team with a range of generalist activities

About You

We're looking for someone who is confident, proactive and genuinely enjoys working with people.

You'll ideally have

  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent (preferred not required)
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar HR generalist role
  • Strong knowledge of day-to-day HR and employee relations
  • Confidence dealing with sensitive or challenging situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive approach and the ability to use your initiative
  • The confidence to work independently and make an impact from day one
  • A genuine passion for supporting employees and creating a positive workplace

The company also puts plenty of emphasis on bringing people together, with regular monthly social events and team-building activities to connect with colleagues outside of the day-to-day role.
