About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Berth Maintenance Fitter to join Maritime & Technical Services, working on the frontline of harbour operations at the Port of Ramsgate.

You'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing essential marine infrastructure-helping keep the port safe, operational, and fully functional.

Key Duties

• Inspect and maintain berths, pontoons & marine structures
• ️ Carry out repairs on walkways, moorings & harbour assets
• Record inspections and report defects accurately
• ️ Support maintenance and improvement works
• Respond to emergency call-outs when required
• Work with engineers, foreman & contractors

⚙️ What You'll Bring

• Practical engineering / maintenance experience
• Welding and fabrication skills (desirable)
• Strong awareness of health & safety
• Ability to work in a marine / outdoor environment
• Good record keeping & communication skills
• Flexibility for tidal and emergency work
