Learning Support Assistant

About this role

The Royal Kent School is a happy and high achieving one form entry primary school in Oxshott, Surrey. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team and assist the class teacher with the development and education of the children in their class. The role will also include supporting the children at lunchtime through overseeing play along with supervising pupils whilst they have their meals.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 8.40am – 3.15pm, term time plus 5 INSET Days with a 20 minute unpaid break.

What we are looking for

GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.

Experience of working with children with special educational needs, although not a pre-requisite

A proven ability to work on own initiative.

A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults.

The ability to use relevant technology/equipment.

A can-do attitude

The desire to contribute to a dynamic and inspiring school environment

A commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.
