About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and physically fit

General Labourer to join a busy construction team in Walthamstow.

The role is hands-on and physically demanding, supporting skilled tradespeople and assisting with the preparation, movement and installation of materials. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable carrying out manual work throughout the working day and working on a construction site.

Experience within the

flooring or carpet industry would be beneficial, although it is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

-

Assist skilled tradespeople with day-to-day construction and flooring activities

-

Load, unload and move materials safely around the site

-

Prepare work areas and materials

-

Assist with flooring and carpet-related works where required

-

Help with lifting, carrying and positioning materials

-

Keep work areas clean, tidy and free from hazards

-

Assist with deliveries and the movement of tools and equipment

-

Use basic hand tools safely when required

-

Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced tradespeople

-

Attend site inductions and toolbox talks

-

Follow RAMS, PPE requirements and all site health and safety procedures

-

Support other members of the team where required

Essential Skills & Experience

Physically fit and able to carry out demanding manual work
