The Role

Successful candidates will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 available for experienced applicants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons that challenge and motivate students
  • Teach a broad and balanced Geography curriculum across KS3 and KS4
  • Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support attainment
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students of varying abilities
  • Encourage critical thinking, enquiry skills and global awareness
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and Humanities enrichment activities
  • Maintain positive classroom environments with high expectations for behaviour and learning
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and school leaders to support student success

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to achieve QTS
  • Degree in Geography or a related subject
  • Passion for Humanities and education
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to raising attainment and student engagement
  • Ability to contribute positively to a collaborative department culture
