The difference you will make as a Events & Projects Assistant
You will support the delivery of our charity fundraising campaign, Cook off for Cancer, (and other projects as required). To maximise the donations the campaign generates through the effective administration and organisation of events and projects.
About you
We are looking for someone with
- Enthusiasm and a can-do attitude with a high level of commitment to tasks are completed and wholly finished to the desired standard
- The ability to self-start, have an impact and connect with others in a hybrid working environment
- Some form of experience of events organisation and/or administration, including finance processing and purchasing.
- A good standard of written English and fundamental Mathematics (and relevant qualifications)

Role Profile
- Support the organisation of events and projects
- Administrative tasks including (but not limited to) venue and transport booking, diary management and invitations, dressing and logistics, finance processing and purchasing,
- Travel to and attendance at events to support and manage on-the-day delivery.
- Communicating, managing and organisation of key stakeholders.
- Devise new event ideas and plans to support the organisation’s ambitions.
Ways of Working
- Work with campaign volunteers, both internal and external, on all aspects of project support.
- Ensure that all information security requirements, including data protection, are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Ensure that health and safety requirements are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements.

Person specification
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential

- Some form of experience of events organisation and/or administration, including finance processing and purchasing.
- A good standard of written English and fundamental Mathematics (and relevant qualifications)
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint)
- A good understanding of charity fundraising and methodologies
Desirable
- Experience of working in a housing association or a similar sized corporate environment
- Experience of working within a branding envelope to deliver events and campaign support materials and communications content.
- Some level of understanding of the social housing sector
- Some level of understanding of social media campaigns, in particular via LinkedIn
- Proficiency at or experience of, copywriting for email and social media.
- General smartphone proficiency, photography and video recording and/or editing
