Service Advisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Service Advisor for a well-established and expanding independent dealership in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Service Advisor to join a thriving business during a dynamic growth phase. The successful Service Advisor will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the smooth operation of the workshop.

Monday to Friday working hours

8:30am – 5:00pm

• No weekend working, including Saturdays and Sundays
• Modern, purpose-built dealership premises

• Workshop currently booking at least one week in advance, with demand increasing

Duties

• Welcome customers and deliver professional front-of-house service
• Book vehicles into the workshop and manage customer appointments effectively
• Handle customer enquiries in person and over the phone
• Prepare and raise job cards and repair orders
• Provide customers with updates on vehicle repairs and progress
• Liaise closely with Technicians and the Service Manager to ensure efficient workflow
• Prepare invoices and process completed repairs
• Clearly explain repair work and associated costs to customers
• Identify additional work opportunities and gain customer authorisation
• Provide accurate estimates and keep customers informed throughout the process
• Support the Service Manager in day-to-day departmental operations

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Receptionist, or similar automotive customer-facing role
• Strong understanding of vehicle servicing and workshop operations
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Proficiency in invoicing, job card creation, and workshop administration
• Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bookings
• Professional and approachable manner
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively with Technicians and workshop management
• Genuine commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
• Stable employment history with long-term career intentions
