Macmillan Sarcoma Specialist Therapeutic Radiographer

The role would increase the availability, reliability & level of support for this patient group & therefore enable a more equitable service provision. Comprehensive proton beam therapy training will be provided. This role offers an opportunity to be part of the radiotherapy sarcoma team at UCLH. The personalised individual treatment pathway of patients with a sarcoma diagnosis often requires them to have a combination of complex specialised surgery at RNOH, as well as high dose chemotherapy regimens UCLH. This role will enable patients to have access to a key-worker who will be able to provide highly specialised support in technical radiotherapy treatment planning, delivery and toxicity management. This support will be available for patients and their families at diagnosis, during decision-making, during treatment, post treatment, at recurrence and during symptom management. The post holder will provide care to patients receiving treatment in both the photon and proton departments.
