Temporary Student Finance AssistantActivate Learning are looking for Temporary Student Finance Assistants to join our Student Finance team based at our Guildford College campus on a casual basis, supporting our main student enrolment period. This is an ideal opportunity for students looking for work over the holidays, as well as those with administrative experience who are interested in short-term roles.In this role, you will help support student retention by assisting with the administration of student finance schemes, including bursaries and free meals. You will ensure eligibility is assessed accurately and that awards and payments are processed fairly, efficiently, and in line with funding rules, policies and guidance. You will keep student records up to date and maintain supporting evidence in line with audit requirements.You will also provide clear written and verbal communication, acting as a point of contact for colleagues and helping students understand and access financial support. Your work will contribute to a positive student experience and high levels of student satisfaction.This is a casual, part-time position, working up to 37 hours per week, based at our Guildford College campus.What do you need to be successful in this role?You will have a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. While no previous experience is required, an interest in supporting students and understanding how financial support makes a difference would be beneficial.We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You should feel confident handling sensitive information appropriately.Strong administrative skills and good IT knowledge, particularly Microsoft Excel, are important. You will hold Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English and ideally be working towards a Level 3 or higher qualification.
