GP with Extended Role/Specialty Doctor in ENT Surgery

Applications are invited for the post of GP with Extended role / Specialty Doctor in ENT at the Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals (RNENTEDH), within University College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The post will work across our community outpatient services provided by the RNENTEDH, as well as support our Service Level Agreements including sites in Enfield, Haringey, Camden and Edgware. There will be opportunities for supervised procedural development activity dependent on the skillset and interests of the successful candidate. The post-holder is intended to work at the equivalent level of a GP with extended role or specialty doctor in ENT.

This post does not include on-call commitment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Independently undertaking General ENT outpatient clinics and occasionally participating in subspeciality otology, rhinology clinic & Laryngology clinics with support and supervision from consultants.

2. Clinics will predominantly include community sites staffed by the department including Enfield, Haringey, Camden and Edgware Community Hospital.

3. Working as part of the MDT, presenting and discussing cases.

4. Liaising with the community/outreach administrative ENT team to co-ordinate patient care.

5. Participating in referral triage, clinical governance and clinic list coordination
