We are seeking exceptional general practitioners with a strong commitment to medical education to join our Primary Care Education Group. Working alongside Co-Leads for Primary Care Education, you will contribute to primary care teaching throughout the MBBS course, as well as to wider MBBS teaching, assessment, and selection activities.

You will also support the department’s ongoing innovation and scholarship initiatives. There may opportunities to take on a leadership role for a defined element of the curriculum or departmental activity.

These posts are designed as fixed-term, developmental opportunities for early-career GP medical educators who wish to gain experience and expand their expertise in undergraduate medical education. They are not intended to be renewable but will provide a strong foundation for future educational roles.

We welcome applications from enthusiastic and motivated GPs who are keen to develop their educational practice and play a key role in delivering primary care education.

To be successful in your application you will be

Qualified general practitioner, on the performers list, currently engaged in clinical work as a salaried GP or partner in the United Kingdom.

Experience of teaching and designing educational programmes.

Passion for high quality student education.

Strong organisational, time-management, project management, and communication skills.

Evidence of an inclusive approach to working and education.

There are 2 posts available and are due to commence on 1st August 2026 until the end of July 2028. This is a part time opportunity at 0.4 FTE
