Please note that this post is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2026.

Here at South Thames College Group, we are seeking a King’s Trust Team Leader to recruit, select and lead a team of individuals aged 16-25, through a personal development programme centered around teamwork in the community.

You will liaise with community organisations and agencies to plan, prepare and supervise appropriate team projects and individual placements for team members as part of the 12-week programme, organise and lead residential trips and provide leadership and guidance to the team.

As our Team Leader, you will hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards), be Team Leader trained (or willing to undergo training) and have an excellent record of reliability and accountability. With working knowledge from a youth work background, you will have experience of, and commitment to, developing the potential of all young people and be a positive role model for young people.

Ideally, you will hold a First Aid at Work Certificate, Risk assessment training and a Food hygiene qualification. You will have a high level of computer literacy, be able to communicate effectively at all levels and use initiative to organise and prioritise.

Please note, the post holder will be responsible for carrying out a 1 week residential with the learners as part of each Team (3 weeks over an academic year).

This a Group-wide role and you may be required to work from any of the STCG sites, however your predominant base will be Carshalton College.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
