We are seeking a Dock Operative to support day-to-day Service Yard and Back of House operations, working closely with the on-site ISS team and following instructions from the URW Duty Manager.
The role plays a key part in maintaining a clean, safe and efficient working environment for all stakeholders.
Job Description
We are looking for a reliable team player who can operate in a physically demanding environment, communicate effectively, and follow site, company and Health & Safety policies at all times while supporting retailer deliveries and final mile operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support Service Yard operations, including accurate collection of vehicle movement data and control of vehicle dwell time
Assist with Back of House operations, including delivering and receiving retailer goods
Carry out final mile deliveries and assist with storage of tenant materials
Maintain a safe, secure, clean and fair working environment for all team members
Process paperwork and operate IT systems as required, including Microsoft packages
Ensure compliance with company, site and Health & Safety policies and agreed SLA targets
Communicate accurately and promptly with the Team Leader or Supervisor when required
Operate Mechanical Handling Equipment where trained and undertake any reasonable duties as required
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Good levels of spoken and written communication
Ability to use Microsoft packages and IT systems
Understanding of specific operational requirements and regulations
Strong awareness of safety, risk and compliance
Ability to work effectively in a team and in a physically demanding environment
Willingness to undertake training provided to support role and skill development
