We are currently looking for HGV Class 1 Shunters to join the team at our Bedford Distribution Centre!

Pay Rates

Monday to Friday
£18.69 per hour

£21.31 per hour

Time and a quarter paid over contracted hours (minimum 40 hours)

Additional £1 per hour for an extra working day
As an HGV Class 1 Shunter, you’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth and safe running of the Distribution Centre operation.
Your responsibilities will include
- Working closely with Transport and DC teams to ensure trailer availability at the required loading times

Controlling yard space and bays to maintain safe and efficient operations

Completing audit trails of trailer movements using tracking sheets

Communicating effectively with stakeholders via 2-way radio

Liaising with teams to understand trailer requirements for upcoming loads

Monitoring and presenting service and MOT trailers

- A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

A valid Driver CPC card

A valid Digital Tachograph Card

Previous HGV driving experience
-
Previous shunting experience is preferred but not essential
