About this role
The Category & Market Insight Manager will be key to connecting the business with our customers' needs and ensuring that they are at the heart of everything we do. You will influence the business on where and how to win by fully understanding and engaging the organisation with our customers.
You will be enthusiastic & driven, with experience of working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will need the ability to think on your feet, be self-reliant, and always have a positive attitude.
You'll be expected to travel and work from the office 3 days a week.
Some of your responsibilities will include
- Be the voice of trade & market insight within Morrisons, working with Commercial & Marketing to drive their performance through the use of Circana, Worldpanel (Kantar) & More Card data
- Working cross functionally to ensure our Leadership team understand drivers of weekly performance & actions associated to drive business growth
- Ensure commercial & marketing understand the needs of our customers by championing our 4 core Customer Personas and creating action plans
- Championing a multi channel mindset, identifying opportunities across our Supermarket, Online & Convenience channels
- Deliver compelling and clear insight to the business, including presenting in regular forums with senior stakeholders and large groups of colleagues
- Generate income and value for the business by encouraging suppliers to work with our customer data
- Develop authentic and strong relationships with key stakeholders, particularly within Commercial
- Coaching and development of junior team members
This role is based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:
- A degree or relevant academic qualifications / workplace experience
- Analytical minded and highly numerate
- Exceptional written, visual and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the application of market data (Circana, Nielsen, Kantar, IGD, Mintel)
- Data literate but also with an understanding of how to convey the story that sits behind the data
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work to changing time and resource constraints
- A passion for doing the right thing by customers with a high level of drive and personal resilience
- Available to work from our office, as detailed, which is based in Bradford
- A positive, ‘can do’ attitude
