Loss Prevention Specialist - Manufacturing & Logistics (Crime and Security)

About this role

As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you are responsible for the continuous improvement of all Logistics and Manufacturing security operations. You will drive successful improvement plans across your defined area, ensuring that site security is maintained at the highest levels and the impact of crime is minimised.

By maintaining a strong presence across your region, you will improve security engagement by coaching, challenging, and influencing operational teams to drive great standards through efficient ways of working.

This role is accountable for the successful delivery of security execution plans and projects across a defined geographical area. You will work collaboratively with Site Managers, 3rd Party Guarding Providers, and wider Morrisons stakeholders to ensure optimum operational focus and the delivery of business loss KPIs.

This role is a field-based role, where you will be travelling to sites within your area to ensure security systems and physical equipment are utilised to their full potential.

Some of your responsibilities will include

  • Leading and landing security improvement projects to ensure they are well-planned and successful within the supply chain.
  • Improving site leadership capability by coaching and providing expert guidance on crime reduction and security engagement.
  • Using relevant data sets and intelligence to identify emerging crime risks and drive changes to reduce business loss.
  • Ensuring sites are safe and secure, managing the emergency response process and testing security controls to identify required improvements.
  • Leading high-value and complex investigations, including freight crime, to ensure successful resolutions.
  • Ensuring the required standard of guarding is maintained on sites and directing guarding team focus areas.
  • Building strong relations with 3rd party transport teams and internal stakeholders to remove barriers and simplify security processes.
  • Driving quantifiable improvements on loss targets to ensure business KPIs are delivered at both site and regional levels.

About you

For this role, we're looking for someone who has

  • Substantial operational expertise in site operations and supply chain crime risks, with field-based management experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of security systems and physical security solutions.
  • A proven history of delivering results against loss targets and managing complex crime investigations.
  • Exemplary communication and influencing skills with experience in presenting action plans to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong coaching skills and the ability to translate security risks into achievable improvement plans.
  • Proven ability to plan and lead change by reacting to emerging security risks with innovative solutions.
  • Significant experience in investigative roles and working within a logistics or manufacturing environments
  • Computer literacy (Google / Security Systems) and the ability to manage extensive travel requirements.
