What
You Will Actually Be Doing
You will be working in small classrooms, usually 1-on-1 or in small groups with autistic children. Your goal is to make learning fun and rewarding using positive reinforcement.

Designing and delivering fun, interactive teaching sessions.

Helping pupils develop life-changing communication, social, and emotional skills.

Accompanying pupils on fun off-site trips and community activities.

Supporting pupils with daily routines, including playtime, lunch, and personal care.
Who Makes a Great Fit?
You don't need a background in teaching, but you do need to be resilient, patient, and caring.
We are looking for

Someone with professional, personal, or voluntary experience working with children or individuals with disabilities (e.g., care work, volunteering, tutoring, or family care).

A minimum of Grade C/4 GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

A calm nature-comfortable managing high-pressure situations or dysregulated behaviours.

The physical energy to keep up with an active school day (lots of moving, standing, and playing!).

A positive, "can-do" attitude and a genuine desire to learn.
Note
Because this role involves working closely with vulnerable children, the successful candidate will require an Enhanced DBS check.
