About this role
We are looking for a Social Worker to join an Adult Social Care Front Door team in North London.
This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience.
About the team
- Act as the first point of contact for all new adult social care enquiries, triaging referrals and making timely, proportionate decisions about the right response.
- Complete Care Act 2014 assessments of care and support needs, determining eligibility and putting the person at the heart of the assessment alongside their family, friends and community networks.
- Identify the presenting problem early to offer focused, short-term intervention, supporting adults to regain independence or reduce their reliance on other people and services.
- Undertake mental capacity assessments under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and manage risk and complex decision-making where professional input is required.
- Manage safeguarding concerns under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, applying Making Safeguarding Personal throughout.
- A role suited to a social worker confident in the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act, working at pace, and delivering strengths-based, person-centred practice.
About you
A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of three years experience is essential in order to be considered for this role. Experience within a front door, duty or fast-paced adults setting is desirable.
