About this role
New Forest District Council is one of the largest non-unitary Councils in the UK. Based in Hampshire, we have over 16 million visitors each year to the National Park, surrounding towns and villages and have stunning beaches along the 40-mile coastline.
We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic and innovative to join our team to positively impact on the presentation, look, feel and sustainable practices across the beautiful New Forest landscapes, Towns, and coast.
Leading a frontline team, you will be helping the team shape sustainable and cost-efficient services, as part of the emerging NFDC Litter Strategy and the on- going investment in our quality inclusive facilities, as well as helping change people’s behaviours and attitude to litter and its impact on our Environment.
You will be leading a team who deliver customer facing services for residents and visitors to the new forest that positively promote the Forest and help drive the local tourist economy by creating a first impression of a clean and healthy environment.
The role will include working with both internal and external departments, partners, and agencies to develop, maintain and build strong relationships. We know the role will be varied, interesting and rewarding.
Your profile
Experience in working in a similar operational role
Knowledge of relevant health and safety
Skill and ability to prioritise proactive and reactive workloads to meet deadlines
Understanding of legislation relevant to the sector
Strong commitment to the safety and welfare of staff
Commitment to environmental improvements
Commitment to customer service
Relevant IT skills – MS 365, Forms, Planner, Lists etc an advantage
Able to work flexibly in an office environment and on site(s)
Good communication and interpersonal skills

£31,161 - £39,469 per annum (Pay award pending)
