The Role

An experienced Bid Manager / Bid Writer is required to take ownership of the full bid life-cycle, from opportunity assessment through to submission and review.

You'll work closely with operational, commercial and technical teams to produce high-quality, compliant and compelling submissions that help secure major contracts and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full bid life-cycle, from opportunity assessment through to submission and post-tender review
  • Produce PQQs, tenders and framework responses
  • Develop clear win themes and tailored bid content
  • Coordinate internal teams to gather technical and commercial information
  • Manage deadlines, tender portals and submission quality
  • Maintain bid libraries and supporting documentation
  • Review feedback to improve future submissions

About You

Essential

  • Proven experience in bid writing, bid management or tenders
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement processes
  • Experience with social value responses (e.g. TOMs)
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Confident working with stakeholders across the business
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and tender portals

Desirable

  • Background in construction, compliance or fire safety
  • Commercial awareness in bid positioning
  • Experience in a fast-paced or growing business
  • Exposure to AI bid tools or CRM systems
