We are currently recruiting experienced SEN/SEND
Tutors to provide tailored 1
1 tuition for pupils accessing alternative provision or Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) across Wokingham and the surrounding Berkshire area.
This rewarding opportunity involves supporting children and young people who are not currently accessing mainstream education. Many pupils have additional needs, including SEND, ADHD, autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions, and benefit from personalised learning approaches designed to rebuild confidence and encourage engagement in education.
Working closely with individual learners, you will plan and deliver bespoke sessions that support academic progress, personal development, and successful transitions back into education where appropriate. Sessions are typically delivered in pupils' homes or suitable community settings during school hours.
As an SEN/SEND Tutor, you will

Deliver engaging 1
1 tuition outside of mainstream school settings
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities
- Support pupils in building confidence, resilience, and core academic skills
- Teach subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, tailored to each learner's requirements
- Build positive, supportive relationships that encourage engagement and progress
- Work flexibly across Wokingham and surrounding Berkshire locations
We welcome applications from candidates who
- Have experience supporting pupils with additional needs, including autism, SEMH, ADHD, or behavioural needs
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, adaptable approach
- Are confident delivering core curriculum subjects, including English, Maths, and Science
- Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and families
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (desirable, though not essential depending on experience)
- Are able to travel for in-person sessions across Wokingham and nearby areas
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Availability to deliver sessions during school hours
- Ability to travel to pupils for face-to-face tuition sessions
