DOMICILIARY CARE WORKER OVERVIEW
Job Type; Full time, Part-Time. Full- time hours available (37-40 hours), with flexible shifts between 7:00am and 9:00pm, including mornings, evenings, and alternative weekends on a rota basis.
Pay; £12.85 per hour.
Work Location; In Person
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Worker to provide high-quality in-home care to clients across various age groups and health conditions. This role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being within their own homes. Experience in assisted living, patient care, or nursing home environments is advantageous.
The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives, demonstrating excellent caregiving skills and a professional attitude.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR DOMICILIARY CARE WORKER
o Implementation of care plans for clients.
o Supporting meal preparation and ensuring nutritional needs are met.
o Assisting with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
o Engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
o Driving clients to appointments or social activities safely.
o Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in client health or behaviour.
o Supporting clients with household tasks such as light cleaning and laundry.
o Responding promptly to emergencies with first aid skills when required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR DOMICILIARY CARE WORKER
o Prior experience in assisted living, home care, nursing homes, hospice care, or dementia care is highly desirable.
o Knowledge of patient care protocols, medication administration, and behaviour management techniques.
o Experience working with elderly or vulnerable adults in adult care settings.
o Familiarity with Alzheimer's and dementia-specific needs and approaches.
o Valid driving licence for client transportation purposes.
o Certification in first aid is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
o Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks.
o Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
o Promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.
o Building positive relationships with clients and families.
